Original creation for The National Moravian-Silesian Theatre

"Sarka, guided by Smetana’s symphonic poem, translates the timeless themes of resistance and recognition into a contemporary context.  Sarka, a woman warrior, emerges as a response to a deprivation of freedom and dignity. Her defiance is not just against the tyranny of men, but also a quest to assert her existence and the existence of all women. As a woman choreographer,  I believe in female strength and values shown in Šárka, an aesthetic and pure work that contrasts with a strong rawness. Freedom is among all that lives. When we recognize the other, there will be freedom.”
